How to reach Modanella

BY CAR FROM NORTH
Alternative 1
From the north or south on the A1 motorway (Autostrada Milano/Roma).
Leave the motorway at the "Val di Chiana" exit. Follow the indication "Siena" along the Bettolle/Siena road E78. After 20 Km.(13 miles), watch out for an "Agip" petrol station on the right hand side. After 500 meters you will find the exit "SERRE di RAPOLANO" on your right hand side and immediately the sign for Modanella to the left. Follow the indication "MODANELLA". You reach Castello di Modanella after 3 Km (2 miles) of unsurfaced road.

Alternative 2
From the north on the A1 motorway.
Leave the motorway A1 at the "Firenze Impruneta" exit. At the roundabout turn right following the indication SIENA. After the Siena ring road (ignore all the exits which indicate "Siena") follow the direction AREZZO-PERUGIA. Once you reach the road E78 "Siena-Bettolle" you keep on this road till you reach the exit of SERRE DI RAPOLANO at the 27,60 Km. At the roundabout turn right, follow the indication "MODANELLA". You will reach Castello di Modanella after 3 Km. (2 miles) of unsurfaced road.
